Maya Osei
Founder

Maya Osei trained as a chef in hotel kitchens, spending her last three years before Blend & Glow as a breakfast chef at a city-centre hotel. She opened the bar's first incarnation as a market hatch in March 2019, running it solo with one blender and a handwritten menu. She has a habit of arriving before sunrise, which she says is the only time the prep work feels calm. On slow mornings she reads at the window seat facing east. She keeps a small notebook of recipe ideas that she says is mostly crossed-out failures, which she considers a good sign.
